But it mightn’t be the Ecuador you expected. Buying land here was the play a decade ago. Today, it’s country club living for the well heeled. The development of Quito’s valleys is set to go in another direction with a new highway connecting you to both Quito’s Old Town and the conveniences of Cumbaya.

I’m writing to you because…having followed this market closely for the past nine years…through boom and bust...there never has been a better time to buy a colonial home in Granada.

I'm looking at stalled villas to see if, because of the situation here in Greece, we can pick one up on the cheap. In picturesque Northeastern Crete, while prices are down by 30% from boom time peaks, there is none of the fire selling that we see in Ireland and Spain.

Greetings from the idyllic Greek islands. Looks like a pretty exclusive place to live...over on that island... I doubt the most recent residents would agree. I'm here to see if there's opportunity here today. And if not, to determine what might trigger such an opportunity.

I’m bullish on Tulum. Not just because of the coast and white sands but also because of improved infrastructure (including plans for an international airport) and a government program that calls for an increase in tourist numbers.
