aracnophobia and creatures that crawl

Hello,
I am planning on moving there, probably Vilcabamba to start with and I have a challenge. I am aracnophobic. Can anyone tell me if the spider population is big? 🙂 Not joking, I need to know please…

I am sure the spider population is huge in the Oriente, or Amazon, area. If you live in a town or city and your home is well built, you should not have any more problem than anywhere else in the world. I sometimes see small spiders in my bathroom, etc., but no more than I experienced in my home in the States.

I really appreciate your comment. It really helps and besides I am doing something about my phobia to get rid of it. It’s not fun being surprised when you have been traumatized…although some people might think it’s fun to have a laugh at the expense of someone else stress 🙂
