    In a recent email update it was mentioned that the coast got more rainfall than usual. We are arriving in Ecuador April 2 and leaving April 23. Which beaches have been most affected by flooding and which are the best to visit. We are landing in Quito , traveling to Cottacachi and Otavalo, then down to Cuenca before heading to the coast, so we will probably not arrive at the coast till about the 10th of April. Thank you in advance for any info you can supply.

    From Salinas to Manta and all the way north to Pedernales have all had some issues — but April 10 is still far away. If they don’t get any more rain, you’ll be fine. If they do, there could be more problems. Best to keep an eye on it and be flexible. Chances are you’ll be fine.
