    I’m going to be in Quito for the month of July and was wondering if there were places where expats socialized (hangout) in Quito ?

    The entire Mariscal area is nicknamed “Gringolandia,” if that gives you a clue. 😉

    Yes, pop into Uncle Ho’s or any of the brew pubs in Mariscal or near there…

    And maybe try Finn McCool’s Bar…

    Also, there used to be an ‘older’ men’s expat group that used to meet for coffee at a hotel on Amazonas — in fact, I think it is the Hotel Rio Amazonas at the corner of Cordero St. and Ave. Amazonas. Again, I have no idea if this is still the case but may be worth a look.
