    My wife and I will be spending the weekend in Bahia this weekend before travelling down the coast. Are there any expats in Bahia who might be available for us to catchup with you sometime over the weekend. We are from Australia and are looking at Panama and Ecuador as locations to relocate to. And contact with expats in the Bahia area this weekend would be greatly appreciated. Michael & Vivien

    Stop in at Puerto Amistad and/or Coco Bongo while you’re in Bahia. Those are popular spots for expats to eat and drink and you should be able to make some good contacts there. Enjoy your travels!

    And if by any chance you get to Canoa (about 30 minutes north) check in at the Surf Shack and ask for Pete Stromberg. He no longer owns the Surf Shack but he is well-established in Canoa and can give you the lowdown about that nice little beach town.
