Happy New year to you all. I’ve been on vacation the past few weeks and have had a really relaxing, wonderful time. The hubby and I spend Christmas here together in Cotacachi, just hanging out with friends. Last night, we had a big bonfire and my husband played music and sang while the rest of us tooted along on our paper horns. At midnight, as is tradition in Ecuador, we burned our effigy of 2012, ridding ourselves of the burdens of the year. It was a beautiful, magical night. We feel blessed to live in this beautiful country and we look forward to getting to know all of you better, either online or in person in 2013.
