    For Cuenca and Salinas areas, are there any quaint (but really nice) hotels with Air Conditioning. I know people say it isn’t necessary, but I really need that A/C at night for sleeping (unless if less than 50 degrees). Maybe $100 – $150 per night is OK (with King beds).

    AC isn’t available anywhere in Cuenca as far as I know. FYI-it was 62 degrees in our bedroom this morning. In Salinas you won’t have any problem finding suitable accommodations because it’s much warmer there.
