We would like to visit Costa Rica and would like to really get in what life is like there by house sitting. It was mentioned that people get a house sitter to avoid break-ins. How would a person go about finding people who would like someone to do this. We are seniors and have our own home in USA so would be reliable people to do something like this. We do not want to have to take care of a bunch of animals as did have an opportunity with people who had three dogs and two cats. You would not be able to go out investigating this with that much responsibility. Staying in a hotel just does not give you the feel of a place and what you would have to do to live there all the time. We would stay approximately a month and can be flexible about the timing March to August.
