Are all of the coastal areas the same for high humidity levels or are some more humid that others? I have heard conflicting stories, one saying Mata/Bahia is higher than Salinas and then just the opposite.

    Thanks

According to the weather widgets I have been watching for a couple of years, the weather along the coast is very similar to what you would experience in San Diego except that I think Ecuador gets more rain and does not get as cold in the winter. I lived in San Diego for several years which is why I use it as my control for comparison.

Planning a “Gilligan Tour” of Ecuador next May to find out for myself.

It is drier along the southern coast, so less humidity there – -don’t know if it’s enough less to make that much difference in the scheme of things. The landscape is hillier and greener in the north — just depends what you’re after.
