If you’re planning on visiting the Loja area in the future here is some good news for you. We are hearing reports that the Loja airport in Catamayo has reopened this week after being closed most of the year for renovations to the facilities and runway. The TAME website (www.tame.com.ec) indicates this to be true. The usual flights in and out of Loja have been reinstated while replacement flights in and out of Cuenca or Cumbaratza (Zamora) are no longer listed.
