Looking for apartment to rent in Cuenca for the month of July 2013

My wife and I will be visiting Ecuador next Summer for our first ever visit there. We are looking for a Cuenca apartment in a nice safe area, probably in town.
We would welcome any specifics or recommendations.

You might want to post something at http://www.gringotree.com/cuenca — and I’ve always had good luck with vrbo.com, but I’ve never searched for Cuenca. You might also try Craigslist quito.craigslist.org/ — it’s Quito-based but often has Cuenca listings.
