Medical/dental care in Cuenca

I am planning on moving to Cuenca in January. I have heard that medical care in Ecuador is good, however I haven’t heard any mention of availability and quality of dental work. I have need of both bridges and crowns and am undecided if I’ll need to spend a large parts of my savings to have it done in the US, or if I will be able to find American or European trained English speaking dentists in Cueanca or Quito.

Save your money and get the work done in Ecuador. I just inquired for a friend about getting an implant. High quality work that would cost $5000 in the States can be gotten here for $800-$1000.

Thanks for the information. Any information on western trained dentists in Cuenca. Obviously it would be easier and cheaper to have work done in the city I plan on living in.
