    Susan,
    I will be looking for a short-term furnished apartment in Cuenca while attending language school and waiting for residency paperwork to get processed. Will also be scouting out longer-term rental opportunity. I see in December you advised against Apartmentos Otorango. Any specific reason? Looks modest, but honest.

    Actually, Edd knows more about this than I as he lives in Cuenca. He’s on holiday right now but I’ll ask him to weigh in when he gets a chance. I believe he feels there are better places, but again, I’ll let him respond.

    Like many things in life, a question like this all boils down to budget and personal preference. Otorango Apartments are too spartan for my taste and not particularly well located. Given that they are ranked in the Top 10 on TripAdvisor obviously a lot of folks do not agree with me.
