In Salinas everyone uses bottled water, even long term natives, though no one says it’s not safe to use the local water. My question is do you think it would be beneficial to hook up a water filtration system to the kitchen faucet. The type (like “Pur”) where you periodically change the filter.

    Thanks in advance,

On the coast I’d recommend sticking with the bottled water.

Just use the big multi-gallon water bottles — they cost maybe $3 and you’ll get used to it pretty quickly. You can use tap water for cooking if you are boiling the water.
