There is a 9 hole course in Cuenca, 2 18 hole fairly short courses in Quito that are average and a 9 hole course, and two upscale courses in Guayaquil, and one about 45 minutes west of Guayaquil going towards Salinas. The Guayaquil courses and the course west of there are fairly nice. There is a pretend golf course in Salinas that is all sand and a 9 hole course in Esmeraldas. Guayaquil does not have many expats and is fairly hot for Ecuador. Cuenca is the one of the nicest place for climate and there are a lot of expats that live there but for an avid golfer the course would be a disappointment.
